### UDS 4.0 — Universal Development System

A proprietary AI-assisted software development harness, in real use on client projects and adopted by 10Labs' engineering team. Its premise is that an agent should execute, not decide meaning: the project's semantic layer — requirements in EARS notation with acceptance criteria, architecture decisions and context cards — must be approved, and the harness guarantees the delivered code does not drift away from it.

- Wraps the full lifecycle with slash commands, subagents and skills covering change, retrofit of existing code, drift audit and closure, executed by specialised architecture and review agents behind a requirements quality gate.
- Each iteration runs as a closed loop of specification → implementation → verification against acceptance criteria → correction, not considered done until it clears the quality baseline.
- A second, audit loop detects drift between what was specified and what was implemented across the project's life.
- Documentation is semantically fragmented into selectively loaded bundles and context cards: ~90% less context than monolithic approaches.
